Half of a good day on the water is not needing to drive home early. Keep this small kit in the truck and you will handle the little problems that end other people's trips.
For the boat
- A spare drain plug (they walk off).
- Extra dock lines and a couple of fenders.
- A spare kill-switch lanyard.
- Bailer or a hand pump, just in case.
For the trailer
- A spare trailer bulb and fuse.
- A lug wrench and a jack that fits the trailer, plus a good spare tire.
- Wheel bearing grease and a rag.
For you
- Small bills and a card for the day-use fee.
- Sun, water, and a first-aid kit.
- Your fishing license and boat registration.
